About David and Our Staff

Dr David Roberts

David completed his Bachelor qualification in 1991, graduating with first class honors and four academic awards in his final year. Prior to this he had accepted a commission from the Royal Australian Navy and on graduation took up his position as a Dental officer and served at numerous locations in Australia and with the United Nations in Rwanda.

David commenced his full time Masters study in 1996 and graduated in 1998. After completing his specialist training he served his remaining time with the Navy in Canberra and Brisbane.

David is a past President of the Queensland branch of the Australian Prosthodontic Society, the Australian Osseointergration Society and the Bennett Movement Dental Study Club. David has been an examiner and lecturer at both undergraduate and postgraduate level at the University of Queensland Dental School and he has lectured extensively on Prosthodontics and Dental Implants throughout Australia and overseas.

Since 2000, he has conducted a Specialist Prosthodontic practice and he has a special interest in full arch implant supported restorations and CADCAM integration in Prosthodontics.

In his time away from the practice David is an avid cyclist, often cycling before work and on weekends and is a founder of the Culte Dentaire peloton. In winter months he enjoys watching rugby union and as a long time loyal Queensland Reds supporter, attending games at Ballymore and Suncorp Stadium. David is also a keen snow skier and enjoys hitting the slopes each year.

Dr Reena Ohm

Dr Reena Ohm is an Australian board-certified prosthodontist. She received her Bachelor of Dental Surgery in 2002, topping her university in her graduating year. She has vast experience in both private & public settings having worked in the Emergency & Trauma departments in Westmead Hospital, Sydney Dental Hospital & Wollongong Hospital before moving exclusively into private practice. She was featured in the Illawarra News for her service to the local community in the Sydney West Area Health Service.

Her eye for detail and keen interest in advanced restorative techniques led her to commence a three year full time Doctor of Clinical Dentistry (Prosthodontics) degree at the University of Queensland in 2020. She presented her postgraduate research on “Accuracy of intraoral scanners in making digital impressions in partially edentulous ridges” at the 2022 AANZP Biennial Meeting.

She was awarded the Australian Osseointegration Society-Research Medallion for her postgraduate thesis in 2022. Being passionate about teaching the next generation of dentists, she has supervised undergraduate dental students in the prosthodontics department at the University of Queensland. She is a member of the Australian Prosthodontic Society (APS), Australian Dental Association (ADA) and The Academy of Australian and New Zealand Prosthodontists (AANZP).

Reena believes the future of prosthodontics is an amalgamation of conventional and digital techniques to provide the best outcomes for patients. This motivated her to join Dr David Roberts in his specialist practice where she provides her services in fixed, removable and implant dentistry. Reena has a special interest in the treatment of worn dentition and utilising minimally invasive techniques. She believes that along with providing high-end prosthodontic care, motivating patients to make holistic lifestyle changes is the key to long term treatment success.

Outside of work, she enjoys yoga, abstract art, nature hikes and baking healthy treats with her daughter.

Belinda Hubon

Belinda has 20 years of experience in dentistry, both in general and specialist practices.

During this time she has completed her Certificate lll in Dental Assisting. The past 16 years have been spent working as David’s Senior Clinical Co-ordinator.

Outside of work Belinda enjoys baking and eating sweet treats, mum life and including her Old English Sheepdog Henry in as many activities as possible.

Jayde Newton

Jayde joined our team in early 2017 as our receptionist and has since moved into the role of Practice Manager. She has been in the dental industry for over 15 years, working in both general and specialist practices in clinical and administration roles. Jayde has completed her Certificate lll in Dental Assisting and has also gained experience working in dental practices in London and Chelsea.

When away from the office, Jayde is a yoga teacher and likes to keep active with yoga and swimming, and also enjoys good food and wine with family and friends.

Kristina Adams

Kristina joined Dr David Roberts’s team in November 2020. Over the past 12 years, Kristina has worked in the dental industry in clinical and administrative rolls, and in this time she has gained extensive knowledge of all aspects of general and specialist dentistry. Kristina demonstrates a high level of professionalism through her ongoing participation and completion of dental programs and workshops.

In this time she has also completed qualifications of dental assistance and dental radiography.

Away from the practice Kristina enjoys keeping active, participating in sporting activities, soaking up the sun at the beach, indulging on good food and wine with friends and family.

Ella Cornelissen

Ella has worked in our practice since July 2016. Ella is currently studying a Bachelor of Health Sciences at the University of Queensland and hopes to further her studies in the dental industry.

In her spare time, Ella enjoys advancing her photography skills and going on nature walks across Brisbane.
